Step 1
Open the overflow valve in the lower compartment, counterclockwise.

Note: If you want to use the Smarttank's irrigation overflow, use 100% biodegradable products (washing-up liquid, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) If you want to use the Smarttank as a standard holding tank, this is not necessary and you can start at step 7.
Step 2
Unscrew the yellow cap from the feed opening on top of the Smarttank lid.
Step 3
Unscrew the yellow cap from the feed opening on top of the Smarttank lid.
Step 4
To extend the Smarttank's feed opening (if necessary), place the yellow cap back on the feed opening and then pull it up forcefully. Then unscrew the yellow cap from the feed opening and place the Smarttank back under the drain of your motorhome or caravan.
Step 5
If your drain pipe stays too far above the inlet opening, you can fill it with a funnel. This is easy to make yourself with a PET bottle.
Step 6
Your Smarttank is now ready for use.
Step 7
Remove the top compartment from the Smarttank.
Step 8
Close the overflow valve in the lower compartment, clockwise.
Step 9
Then place the lid on the lower compartment.
Step 10
Connect the Smarttank's input opening to your motorhome or caravan.
Step 11
The Smarttank now operates as a standard holding tank.
Step 12
When the tank is full, it should be emptied into the sewer.
Cleaning the smart tank
Follow the steps below to clean your Smarttank
Step 1
Discard the remaining drain water, which is in the lower compartment, into the sewer.
Step 2
Remove the CHANGE XXL filters in the lower compartment by gently pulling them away from the overflow valve.
Step 3
Then remove the ECO filter from the upper compartment.
Step 4
Rinse both the Smarttank, and all filters under the tap. If there is a lot of dirt build-up, you can use a brush.
Step 5
Place the CHANGE XXL filters back in the lower compartment by pressing them left and right on the overflow tap.
Step 6
Place the ECO filter back in the top compartment and the Smarttank is ready to use again.
